100 ways to make this your best year yet – 100 New Year’s Resolutions from simple to requiring determination, but all with a happier, healthier you in mind.
I’ve shared this – or a list similar to this – in the past, but I’ve made a few updates (and added a much prettier background) that you can print, post, share and use to motivate yourself to make small, but real, changes in 2019.
100 New Year’s Resolutions
There are so many on here that I need to implement for myself; honestly, about 99 of them and you’d think “check the answering machine” would be simple – but I really dislike the phone, so it’s quite a chore for me.
I have two in my home that have to get the last word – which means arguments escalate well beyond the initial irritant – time to nip that in the butt.
This 100 New Year’s Resolutions list also has a focus on self-care – something I think we Mom’s put on the back-burner. I know I feel guilty taking time for myself when there are chores that need doing and a home to run – but I also realize the importance of committing to my health and sanity. Perhaps the gym isn’t for you, but what about a 20 minute walk each day, or going to bed 20 minutes earlier or even taking 5 minutes at the end of each day to implement a skin care routine (those wrinkles haven’t healed themselves so far – probably time I work on them.)
Here’s another one for us Mom’s – be IN more photos. How many shots do you have of your kids with Daddy? I think we have to come to terms with our personal insecurities and make a concentrated effort to be in front of the lens more instead of behind it. Let’s face it, when we’re 80, we might look back on our slightly wrinkled faces, muffin top and greying hair and think we were hot stuff.
Don’t think of this as a “To Do List” – we have more than enough of those floating around in our heads – instead, think of this 100 New Year’s Resolutions list as a sort of vision board; something to post and look at often to remind us of all the little things we can do to make a big difference.
Happy New Year everyone – I wish you health, happiness and a year of laughter.
