A decadent winter treat for your family, friends and neighbours, these hot cocoa bombs are easy to make and very inexpensive to give.  How to make your own hot chocolate bombs at home here.

I guess hot chocolate bombs are all the rage on Tik Tok. That’s where the girls found a video of one exploding and showed it to me…

Homemade Dog Biscuits

You are 6 (healthy) ingredients away from the best dog biscuits your fur-baby will ever taste (trust me, I’ve tasted them)

We have a 5 year old Bernese Mountain dog named Lacey (aka. Lacey-Mae, Lacey-Moo, Miss Lacey, Angel Face, Princess Pea, Moo-Moos, Baby Girl and Barkasaurus Rex).  She’s actually MY dog, that I generously share with the family sometimes and she is spoiled.

So much so, that she now […]

Lightly Sweet Southern Sweet Tea

This recipe for Southern sweet tea is cool and refreshing, with just the right amount of sweetness –  perfect for a summer treat on the porch.

I’m recently back from a blogging conference in Charleston, South Carolina where the weather was hot, the history enthralling, and the food rich and savoury.  I can finally say I’ve tried Fried Green Tomatoes – which I assumed were un-ripe tomatoes deep-fried to hide their bitterness (not so, they are green when ripe – Duh!), […]

Best Burgers Ever – hands-down, without-a-doubt, awesomeness

This post was originally written in the summer – when burgers are a staple – but that’s not to say you can’t whip up some of these super-juicy, cheesy, meaty, savoury best burgers whenever the mood strikes.

Some of the best parts of summer (for me) are the smells….
chlorinated pools, fresh cut grass, barbecues smoking, coconut sunscreen, the crisp, clean air after a storm…

The key to gooey rice krispie treats

I wrote a similar article to this back in 2014 but it didn’t get any traction?  Could be because I dyed my super-gooey rice krispie treats green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day – which I still think was a cute tribute – but perhaps wasn’t a very appetizing image.  (What!? You guys don’t pin green rice krispie treats?!)

Fair enough, I wouldn’t either.
