The blog post I did over the summer – the one where I gave links to a few sites that were giving away desktop wallpapers / screensaver – well, it is still getting traffic?!
Now that Fall has “officially” arrived, I thought maybe I’d try to create a few of my own for you to use.
For my desktop wallpapers, I like a lot of white space to house my files. I don’t want to cover over my daughter’s eyeball with blog images, or mess up a beautiful fall landscape with word documents – so the look I was going for here was/is minimal.
Having a calendar right in front of me is helpful for planning events, pre-planning for holidays or occasions and just plain knowing where time is going. I thought having a small calendar on my desktop/mobile would be a bonus. I’ve separated out the calendar and a ‘storage section’, on the left, so you can put your files and documents off to the side without covering any of your image.
The free desktop wallpaper for November has a couple of poppies since we celebrate Remembrance Day on the 11th.
December’s free desktop wallpaper could only be… Christmas trees of course. (Although I was tempted to create a checklist of my “100Things2Do Before Christmas” list.)
The warm parchment paper seemed fitting given the cooling temperatures.
Wanna see how each of the free desktop wallpaper (s) look?
To download any of the free calendar wallpapers / screensavers, click on the image and save it to your desktop. If you’re on a Mac, you can then right click on the saved image and select “set as desktop wallpaper”. Alternatively, go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES, DESKTOP & SCREENSAVER, click DESKTOP and you should see the image pop up in your album. Just click!
I’ve been out of the IBM world for awhile, so I can’t give you a step-by-step, but I’m positive it’s equally as easy.
Just a quick and easy update to your office decor.
Have a great one!
