I found this tutorial on Laura’s Crafty Life and HAD to try one of my own.
No, I don’t scrapbook but this was so cute, and looked easy, so I had to try.
I’ll start by saying that I cheated – I have packages of coordinating scrapbook paper from Papertrey Ink, so I didn’t have to colour coordinate, or match patterns or anything – it was all done for me (thank goodness, because I’m inept and putting patterns and colours together).
You’ll need 6 pieces of scrapbook paper cut to 8″ x 8″ (20.3cm x 20.3cm)
Bring out your handy-dandy envelope maker (or open up an envelope you already have and trace the outline onto your scrapbook paper). Cut, punch and score as indicated.
Seal three sides of the envelope with double sided tape or glue, but leave the top flap open.
Now you’re going to take one envelope, add some double-sided adhesive to the top flap, flip it over and insert that top flap into a second envelope. Stick in place.
Fold over your second (in this case green) envelope and repeat with your third: add double-sided adhesive, insert the pattern-side of a third envelope into the pocket section of the previous (green) one.
That’s it!
Continue on until you have all 6 envelopes intermingled and stuck together.
Then take the last hanging flap and seal it to the back of your scrapbook.
Embellish as you like.
Insert photographs, recipes, love letters – anything you want into each pocket.
This would make a great little brag book for Moms and Grandmas – large enough to house full-size photographs, but small enough to tuck into your purse!
So cute!
Have a great one!

Your scrapbook was so cute I pinned it. Hopefully I will get the time to make a few of my own. I think they would be cute gifts with maybe a gift card, a photo, tickets to a movie.
GREAT IDEA! And with plenty of time to whip up several before the Holidays! You may see a second post on these – in a Christmas theme! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
