That’s a false title – I haven’t figured out a magic way to stop Otis from chewing, but I am trying a new way to stop him from destroying cords.

First, I should tell you that we’ve tried wrapping cords in tin foil – we heard that cats don’t like the feel of it.
Not so with our little Otis… he liked the challenge.

I was tempted to try putting hot sauce on the cords, but Odie eats dog food…
actually, Odie eats everything, so I think the only result of that attempt would be me having to clean up cat puke or diarrhoea everywhere.
Not worth the risk.

We’ve gone through at least 4 iPad cords in the last two months – and at $40 a pop to replace them – Odie is living on borrowed time.

I’m trying a new method now.

If I can’t stop him from chewing the cords, then maybe I can make the cords more impenetrable.

Enter duck tape;

Look at him – even with me sitting there he doesn’t hesitate to attack!

If the little bugger wasn’t so cute he’d be out of all nine of his lives by now.

One strip of duck tape will wrap the cord about 4 times, so it makes a pretty thick barrier that hopefully his little teeth won’t be able to get through.

I’m just worried I’ll see this laying around somewhere in the night and think it’s a snake.

Duck tape or not, I’m pretty sure stomping it to death might break it. lol

Milo has better things to do with his time – we call this pose “Nuts up”.

Have a great one!
