For YOU, my readers, I have a secret recipe created by the the Executive Chef for Budweiser Gardens.

We’re talking a real chef, in a monster venue and a finger-licking, HEALTHY recipe.

I bring you…..

Kim’s Energy Balls!

as in balls that will give you energy and not vice versa – although she does cook for the London Knights hockey team – so there’s probably some truth to the second version as well.

Health food is foreign to me, so I had to hit Bulk Barn to get the ingredients.

You will need:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
  • 1/4 cup almonds, pumpkin or sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup honey or nutella


Mix all ingredients together.

Then let sit in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Roll into balls and store in an airtight container.
Keep refrigerated.

These are FANTASTIC – and I’m a processed, over-sugared, junk food addict.
While I was rolling these into balls, Hubby cleaned out about 6 of them – so I think he agrees.
