My mom makes this and it is SOOO good.
Light, fluffy and chock-full of fruit – which makes it a particularly spectacular dessert this time of year – when strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and cherries are in such abundance.
Better still, it is really easy to make, and packs a “Wow” at the patio table or pot luck.
You will need:
- 2 cups each of raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and grapes
- 2 bananas
- 1/3 cup crushed almond-flavoured cookies
- 1/4 cup sugar
- zest and 1/2 cup juice from naval orange
- 2 cups thawed Coolwhip
No elaborate instructions here – just layer your berries,
Crush up your almond cookies and layer them over the berries,
Cut up your bananas and layer them, and the grapes, over top.
Mix together your sugar, orange zest, orange juice and Coolwhip until well combined, then add a thick, fluffy coating to your fruit trifle.
Quick, you’ve got time now – go whip this up for dessert tonight!
Have a great one (and thanks Mom)!
