A $0 build made up of scrap pieces of wood and leftover paint, this raised dog dish stand can be customized to fit any dish with a lip and is sturdy enough for even the biggest dogs!

Good morning friends!

Popping in this morning with a quick and easy (not to be confused with cheap and easy – of which I’m neither lol)

Ever since Anika posted her DIY Dog Bowl Stand, I have wanted one.

I made a smaller version of it a couple/few years ago – but nothing as pretty, or as easy to build as the one over on Anika’s DIY Life, and because my beautiful Miss Lacey is a crazy-picky eater and will only eat out of shallow pie dishes, this build was perfect!

No, I take that back….

This raised dog dish build was perfect for several reasons:

I love $0 builds!!

This is typical builder’s grade lumber in spruce – nothing fancy – the gorgeous grain was a fluke that we found once we ripped a 2″x4″ down to 1 ½” widths.

My raised dog dish stand is slightly larger than Anika’s, so click over to her DIY Dog Bowl stand for measurements that fit your typical stainless steel, brimmed dog food bowls.

The pocket holes are in the back of the raised dog dish stand, so you can’t see them from the front.

(I apologize for the shit-show that is my garage/she-shop – I’m in “purge” mode over here)

I won’t lie, this is a total plagiarism – I even copied Anika’s paint job with dipped legs in some leftover cabinet paint I had from my kitchen makeover.

The top is just sealed with a cabinet sealer so that water and grunge doesn’t get into the wood.

This raised dog dish stand is the perfect height for Lacey and is the ideal size for fitting underneath my kitchen island to keep us from tripping over it.

We skipped out on adding lower braces to the sides because we found the stand was plenty sturdy without them.

Eleven pieces of scrap wood and maybe an hour of your time.

Okay, okay – quick, cheap and easy. (maybe a little like me 😉)

Have a great one!
