I purchased some scroll-y monograms months ago from the Silhouette online store.
You’ll recognize them from my lockers:
Well, with Spring break coming soon, I thought I’d show you another couple of ways to get mileage out of that $1.09 spent.
If you have hard-sided luggage like these:
You can take your monogram and resize it to fit!
These are small bags from Toys R Us for the girls – but if you had larger pieces, you could make the monogram larger to fit.
Imagine being able to easily discern your luggage on the baggage carrier. Granted, these little red babies will be pretty easy to find, but most adults seem to have black – so a giant monogram would come in handy.
Just cut on adhesive vinyl and attach!
I wish they weren’t quite to shiny – I really am dressed in this photo – I was just cold so I put my bathrobe on over top of my clothing. I didn’t realize how clearly that would show up.
Chloe’s and now Maddie’s:
The girls also got ski lessons as a Christmas gift and they’ve been hitting the slopes (or our local version of the slopes = Byron Bump), but their helmets are so…
I don’t know, so plain? So typical? So unimaginative?
Same monogram – resized again to fit the helmet and voila!
I wish I had sparkly pink or purple adhesive vinyl – then I could have a little glitter bling.
*NOTE: It has been brought to my attention that helmet manufacturers frown on adding decals to helmets and that, in the case of skating helmets, stickers that have fallen off have been cause of accidents on the ice. See comments below for more information.
I’m sitting in my office looking around for anything else that could stand a little monogramming.
I’m attaching Amazon links to the items – but our cases were only about $39 Cdn at Toys R Us. We did buy before Christmas, but I’m sure other sales and deals will come up.
Have a great one!

Thank you so much – and thanks for checking out the blog!
I love the look! However it is very important to consult the manufacturers recommendation prior to using any safety equipment. All personal protective equipment goes through rigorous testing and is designed specific to the hazards that it is exposed to ie. ski helmets for skiing and hockey helmets for skating. It has been found that stickers can hide potential cracks or deterioration on a helmet that when impacted could result in a serious injury. Adhesives are made in a variety of materials and compounds which over time can react with the helmet, further causing soft spots or deterioration.
I love that kids now wear their safety equipment without a fight…now lets make sure that equipment is functioning at 100%
Love the idea of putting it on the lockers! Thanks for linking up at Motivational Monday!
My lockers are one of my all-time favourite projects – keep the garage organized, a pretty colour for me – and I agree, MUCH better with the monogram! Thanks for reading and for taking the time to comment!
