Happy Sunday everyone!
I apologize that this post is late going up – but we only just returned from Florida late last night.
Yup, we snuck off for a family vacation/visit to Nana and Papa in Florida. You’ve seen the photos I’ve put up of late – we DESPERATELY needed a little sunshine and warmth.
As it turns out, last week was the best weather Florida has seen this year. I wouldn’t have complained if it were raining the entire time – anything over 0 degrees celsius would have been a treat – but we actually had temperatures in the high 20’s, low 30’s every single day. (82 to roughly 94 fahrenheit). It was SPECTACULAR! (and we are so grateful for your hospitality Nana and Papa!)
If you were with me last year, you might remember a post I wrote where Papa decided it would be fun for the girls to put a quarter cup of Palmolive into the hot tub and then turn the jets on…
The girls remember this of course and insisted we try it again – so here’s a live-action version of how I bathed my children most of last week:
This year Papa upped the ante and the girls were allowed to put in a half cup each – yes, you are correct – my girls are incredibly spoiled and Papa is a bit of a nut.
The hot tub very quickly filled with suds, and then started to spill over into the swimming pool.
Then the pool filled with suds and Daddy had to get in on the action.
My four children (Maddie, Chloe, Hubby and Papa)…. what can you do but laugh and enjoy their joy?
It took two days for the suds to dissipate and I don’t think we did any damage to the pool heater or filter – but I’m not going to recommend this just in case. We’ve got the best solar pool heater ever and it works really well, the kids love it!
These are the memories that last a lifetime.
This is the video that shows the eruption and resulting devastation – if you receive my blog posts via e-mail, you’ll have to click over to the blog itself in order to play the clip.
Have an amazing Spring Break to those just starting vacation in the U.S. – make it memorable!
