I have a super-simple project for you today – but one, if you’re like me and are drowning in power cords – that will make life SO much easier, and neater and tidier and organized and…
You get the jist.
See those little tiny guys on my iPad?
I bought a package of them in the beauty aisle at the dollar store – they’re teeny, tiny hair clips and came in a package of 6 for $1.
Now look what I do with these little cuties:
SO EASY!
I’ve seen organizing cords using butterfly clips, but I find they are very strong and I’m worried about pinching the wires of my electronics. I’ve used elastics to try to corral all the cords in the house, but they seem to get tangled and broken when people go to use the cords.
I know, elastic bands should be pretty easy to handle; clearly we have no NASA candidates under my roof.
These dollar store hair clips are perfect and come in several sizes so you can organize cords from earbud-size to kitchen-mixer-size.
They are strong enough to keep your wires in place, but not so strong that they will pinch and crush them.
Plus they’re colour-coded so you can tell whose is whose.
When you’re working out at the gym, you can either attach the little hair clip to your sleeve, waistband or wear it in your hair if you like. (I know I get sweaty bangs)
I’m not sure there is an easier method for organizing cords than this one? (but feel free to prove me wrong – I love great ideas)
One pack was enough to organize my iPad and iPhone – so it’s looking like I’ll have to make another run to Dollarama to get some for the rest of the crew.
Have a great one!
