My friend Amazing Amy posted this poem on her Facebook feed awhile back and I absolutely LOVED it:
Who am I, you ask?
I am made from
all the people I’ve encountered
and all the things I have
experienced.
Inside, I hold the laughter of my
friends,
the arguments with my parents,
the chattering of young children,
and the warmth from kind strangers.
Inside, there are stitchings from
cracked hearts,
bitter words from heated arguments,
music that gets me through
and emotions I cannot convey.
I am made from
all these people and moments.
That is who I am.
~ Ming D. Liu
I love it for the reminder that we are not what we do or the names people call us by – we are a compilation of great and tragic moments, of emotions both expressed and impressed upon us.

We are memories and the wisdom that comes from experiences.
We are our thoughts and dreams and tears and struggles.

And most of all it is a beautiful reminder that every opportunity and experience creates a new conduit to evolve who we are….
Who I am.
Amazing Amy took this poignant poem and designed these warm, bright and pensive printables so that you can frame up a copy to remind you of who you are.
My favourite is the flower, but the tea cup coordinated well with my family room colours – so I purchased an inexpensive frame to show it off.
It’s a bit difficult to read here, but the pdf files are 8.5×11″ and my frame is roughly 14×20″ – so it’s quite striking in person.
Thank you Amazing Amy – this really touches my heart.
