I’ve plugged away at my Fall front porch for about a week now.
I haven’t done anything exceptional, because I didn’t really know what to put out to make my home feel warm and welcoming, so I’d set something out, move it around, take it back in and start again.
I think I’ve just about got it now – or at least I’m stopping now before it’s time to decorate for Hallowe’en – so I thought I’d share a few photos of my 2017 Fall front porch:
The DIY wheelbarrow you’ll remember from last week.
I wanted to go navy and off-white this year, so both of my mums will be in that theme. I added a couple of bushel baskets as flower pots and I may still paint the larger one of them navy.
This is my Vulpes, Vulpes pillow cover from l last year – which I still LOVE. I’ve paired it with a navy quilt to up the coziness factor.
The Fall sign I whipped up last year – really easy to make.
and a pumpkin wreath I picked up at HomeSense.
I tucked a few dollar store branches in the larger pot of mums to bring in the colours from the fox pillow.
Yeah, that bushel basket is going to have to go navy.
The weather here is still beautiful, if a bit cooler – but the summer flowers are still in full-force.
It’s tough to make a Fall front porch when your petunias and geraniums overshadow it – not that I’m complaining; I’ll take a warm Fall over a frosty one any day of the week.
I was able to get my Fall front porch photo ready just in time for the girls’ first day back to school earlier this week – which means PHOTO OP!
(they love when I yell that lol)
Maddie is 11 and going into grade 6 and Chloë is 9 and in grade 4 – which means I have no say in what they wear to first-day-of-school and the more I protest, the bluer the hair gets. lol
Hope I’ve given you a few ideas for your Fall front porch – and if you want any of the items I’ve shown above, I’ve attached a (similar) shopping list below.
- Fox throw pillow
- Navy blue blanket
- Bushel basket
- Small welcome basket
- Large resin pumpkin
- Faux fall foliage (dollar store)
- White pumpkin wreath
- Wreath hanger

I had to paint the bushel basket navy and change things around – but this is the LAST time.
Seriously. (wink)
Have a great one!
