So remember I said that I purchased three wooden chairs last week?
And do you remember that I only showed you these two so far?
Since I had nothing to lose and some Arborcoat solid stain left from my treehouse makeover, I decided to play with colour a bit and create a painted chair that was a bit more whimsical.
If you didn’t read my last post, please remember to strip, sand and prime before getting to the fun stuff.
The arrows were another stencil I picked up from Cutting Edge Stencils, so I decided to sprinkle them here and there going every-which-direction for a bit of fun.
The Arborcoat colours I used were Eccentric Lime, Gypsy Pink, Poolside Blue and the purple is a mixture of the blue and pink together.
This painted chair was fun to experiment with, and I think it turned out pretty cute.
Bright and bold colours, and an exterior stain – this might make an eye-catching plant stand in your garden?
I think this sums up highschool for me – I’m going to call it an artistic statement; wild, crazy and fun, but in school I didn’t have any idea which way was up. lol
Sometimes it’s fun to just let loose and see what happens – and at less than $10 for the wooden chair, I really had nothing to lose.
Remember: “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try” – not that this chair is necessarily an “accomplishment” per se…
Have I mentioned I LOVE trying new things?
Ooooooh, I can see a “dirty pour” coming in my future – won’t that be gorgeous?!
Thank you again Clancy’s Rainbow!
Have a great one!
Love this project….so sweet….and the colors…WOW!
