Just a quick pop-in today to show you a smaller refinishing project I managed to squeeze in last week.
This shelf was another curb-find and it was in ROUGH shape:
No big gouges, but it looks as though it was tucked away in some deep, dark basement for years and then I had it stuffed into my over-crowded garage for another 6 months, so it was grimy and dirty and ugly.
Nothing a good sanding, some Kilz primer and a couple of coats of paint can’t clean up – and Maddie needed a shelf above her desk…
During the school year I’m sure it will house more books than toys, but for now she’s decorated it so that she can use her desk top for her Littlest Pet Shop toys.
The shelf makeover is cute right?
I would be SUCH an easy build as well – you could probably get away with using just a jig saw for the entire thing.
If I had any space, I’d build a second one to house herbs in the kitchen – but alas, my walls will collapse if I add one more thing to them. lol
Gotta run – sorry for the shortie today!
Have a great one!
