Have you got your Christmas / Holiday cards ready?
Have you updated your address book to make sure you have current mailing addresses for everyone? Have you written your annual newsletter and tucked a family photo into the envelopes of special loved ones.
Nope, me neither.
BUT, I did myself a huge favour and went online to Minted.com to have them take care of this Holiday stressor for me.
It was SO EASY!
You can scroll through their thousands of photo card designs and layouts,
you can upload your family photo to see how it will look in each version:
and/or you can filter the choices down by style, layout, number of photos, colour and price.
For my horizontal family photo, I thought a landscape set postcard would be my best option, and I’ve been obsessed with navy blue this year, so I selected out this little cutie:
You have the (free) option to include text on the back of your Christmas cards, so I wrote a brief newsletter summary and selected out coordinating colours.
Minted.com even offers free addressing on your cards, so save yourself some carpal tunnel and type in your recipients and have it printed in a delicious font. Verify the front and back of your card with a preview and you’re finished!
Click “purchase” and your cards are on their way! = heavy lifting done!
My cards arrived within a week with free postage for orders over $50.
Thick, beautiful cardstock and the photo quality is perfect. I’m so pleased with how they turned out (and how much less work I have to do now!)
In case you’re thinking “Wow! She spent $50 on Christmas cards (to get the free shipping)”
Nope, cards are about $1.30 each, so much less expensive than Hallmark versions.
What happened was I went to the Minted.com site…
and they carry a LOT more than just Christmas cards.
In fact, they carry art, home decor items, aprons, towels, pillows, place settings and my weakness…
gift wrap.
Personalized, Minted.com photo gift wrap!!
Yup, three clicks to upload a few more family photos and look what I created! Change the colour, change the style – there are dozens of options to choose from. How fun!
The wrapping paper is sold in sheets (not rolls) in sets of five 20″ by 28″ sheets.
I chose out a few more styles of gift wrap that I thought coordinated with my decor goals and, again, it arrived within a week!
This is thick, premium quality wrapping paper – thicker than printer paper or anything you’d find in stores, and printed perfectly.
I’m not one of those bloggers that wraps empty boxes to show off gorgeous wrapping paper – I love the stuff too much to waste it like that – so all I have under my tree at the moment are the boxes of Rheo Thompson mint smoothies that I give out as little treats.
So my gifts thus far are scrumptious and gorgeous!
I’ve purchased from Minted.com in the past and they haven’t failed to impress me. Quality, ease-of-use, speed and pricing.
This time of year, when the to-do list is longer than ever and the budget is tighter than ever, getting projects done in a “click-and-forget-it” way is such a stress-reliever.
And look, Christmas cards and gift wrap done!
Have a great one!
