DIY Christmas

Amazing Amy and I have decided to set up a table at a craft show.

I like to putter and make crafts, but I’ve never sold anything beyond refinished furniture.  The thought of actually creating numerous items and then hoping that people will buy them has me a bit nervous.

I’ve been puttering with the wood blocks again to come up with some ideas and different things that people might like – perhaps you could give me feedback on whether I’ve hit the nail on the head, or missed the mark altogether.

My scrap wood snowmen – the front one needs a bit of holly or mistletoe on his top hat.

I had one facing a different direction, just so you could put him someplace and two sides could be visible and cute.

Then I thought I’d make some wood blocks into gifts.

I’m not sure the ribbon is the right size, but I do like the words.
Perhaps the “Peace” one needs some mistletoe as well?  Or a dove?

The Mod Podge isn’t completely dry on these yet – so you’ll see a bit of white around the letters.
Once it sets, it dries clear – I was just too excited to wait to take the photo.

What do you think?
These, my Christmas tree blocks, the “Believe” sets and the branch ornaments?

Honesty is appreciated – but be gentle.

Have a great one!

First of all, DON’T BE NERVOUS! The branch ornaments are spectacular, the snowmen are unique and very sweet and the Believe sets are incredible. Keep it simple is my motto!

These are awesome!! You are going to sell out, if priced right. And as Amy said above, keep it simple. Love, love, love all of them. Wish I could go and buy them all :-)

You mentioned that they were not dry before you took photos.
I would have never guessed that, to me it looked like a light dusting of snow.
    Not glitter, snow dust.
The snow man and his wife are too cute.

AWESOME!!! But please tell me, are the Letters stick on or how did you do those.?

The letters are just scrapbook paper – I cut them out with my Silhouette machine and then Mod Podged them onto the blocks. (As of now Mod Podged is a verb lol).
